Turtle innards!
No, this isn’t a posting about Cannibal Holocaust. I just wanted to show this to you:
It’s an “medical diagram”-styled illustration of one of my favorite Japanese movie monsters (a.k.a. kaiju) of all time, Gamera, taken from the 1967 book An Anatomical Guide to Monsters. The tome’s text is by Shoji Otomo and the illustrations are by Shogo Endo. Asahi Sonorama was the publisher (it went out of business in 2007).
